  • The film making threesome are being badgered by Hollywood mogul Scott Rudin who offeres $250,000.
  • A deal was eventually done for 2% of the films budget (£30,000) ,and Noel Gays backing out of hands -on duties in exchange of the profits and a name check on the credits.

    These notes are incredibly limited. You need the focus to be the pre-production stages so that you know them for revision.

    Go over the Trainspotting ppt again and note down the pre-production stages and what happens in each so that you can use this as a revision aid.

How much were they asking for ? They were asking for £250.000. How much did they get ? They got £255.172 ,this means they got £5.172 over the asking price . How many backers were there ? 2000 How else is the project being funded ? Through people that have a love and interest for shakespeare . Who  is the director and  why is he important ? The director is Vincent Regan ,this is important because he is a well known and experienced director. This will allow them and  make it more likely to get a lot more money from crowd funding as the people have confidence that the film will be a success . What was the funding for ? They needed the money so that they could hire actors and buy props as well as needed equipment ect and other necessities . Why do you think this was successful in gaining funding ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73DvywKuYF0 You need to list locations to see which the best one is,  if you don't have any contacts then its best to turn to family members and friends as its much cheaper as family and friends arnt likely to charge but if you get proper actors then they will charge you for there service. You want your friends and family to be interested in acting ,the best thing is to not use anyone thats  going to give you problems, as making a film is quite stressful . You need to list all the equipment  and see if you have your own camera ,if not then borrow or buy as a camera is very important ,without  camera it would be impossible to make a film . If you do not have  a camera then don't worry you can rent one . Think out side the box ,if your neighbour has any props or owns a factory of some thing then ask if you can use it as a location . To make things cheaper you could use natural lighting instead of lighting from a ligh...
