OK GO Notes



    The musical rock band OK Go has earned considerable fame for their creative but often low-budget music videos, most of which have been promoted through Internet video sharing sites like you tube . 
To keep there low budget reputation they :
  • keep the characters simple and only 4 characters 
  • they had 4 location 
  • They also avoid having a location with not a lot of extras (2 people in a bar by there selves doesnt work )
  • They also needed  the right equipment for the light 
  • The directors scouted the location  to see when the best time was  to use the location . 
What was the task ?
The task was to watch a video about ok go and write notes on it .

What did you learn ?
I learnt that you can make an amazing and interesting music video ,with a very small budget .I also learnt that to stick to this small budget you need to think out side the box and use locations that would cost the minimum ,use props that arnt expensive and use natural lighting ,which cost absolutely nothing .

How will this help you revise ?
This will help me revise because I will look back at my work and see everything that goes in to make a film with a small budget .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73DvywKuYF0 You need to list locations to see which the best one is,  if you don't have any contacts then its best to turn to family members and friends as its much cheaper as family and friends arnt likely to charge but if you get proper actors then they will charge you for there service. You want your friends and family to be interested in acting ,the best thing is to not use anyone thats  going to give you problems, as making a film is quite stressful . You need to list all the equipment  and see if you have your own camera ,if not then borrow or buy as a camera is very important ,without  camera it would be impossible to make a film . If you do not have  a camera then don't worry you can rent one . Think out side the box ,if your neighbour has any props or owns a factory of some thing then ask if you can use it as a location .
